Circa 1775
An exceptional inlaid tea caddy or tea chest with fine veneers of Kingwood, padouk, tulip, mahogany, box, ebony, sycamore and fruitwood. Attributed to Thomas Chippendale and beautifully orchestrated together with exquisite detail including a design of a tea leaf in cochineal.
The whole carries a wonderful patination.
