19th Century Occasional Table
Circa 1800
Exquisite Georgian mahogany oval top table. The top is banded in mahogany, amboyna and yew-wood oval centre. Boxwood and ebony line decoration throughout the top section, below is just ebony line decoration. The single drawer bears a stamp on the ebony cock-bead 53, which is possibly an inventory number along with Wilkinson Ludgate Hill. This is above the area for storing wool etc which is now a brushing slide. The whole is raised on four very stylish legs.
