A very rare and fine example of a William and Mary period oyster veneered Kingwood miniature chest of drawers. Retaining the original gilt metal handles, locks and escutcheons.
The whole is raised on small bun feet.

Possibly from the workshop of Thomas Pistor of Ludgate Hill, London 1668 - 1706.

This wood, Kingwood, was also known as Princes wood. This was a highly prized and expensive veneer, only ever used on the finest quality pieces.

Condition
All original. Good condition with wear and tear expected of a piece this age.
