18th Century Arm Chair
Retaining the original decoration. Escutcheon shaped
upholstered back and seat over a painted serpentine front rail
with fluting and beading in gilt. The arms connected to the front
legs and headed by carved paterae spiral twisted fluting over
straight fluting terminating in spade feet on brass castors.
English circa 1780
The whole is unrestored in country house condition, with worn
paintwork and gilt decoration. The front seat rail has been repaired.
