18th century walnut tripod base table
Firstly the top is finely crossbanded in kingwood, then tulipwood, large segments of walnut, tulipwood and the centre has an inlaid star or a pointed compass. Boxwood and ebony stringing is throughout the table top.
The hand-turned central shaft has three out stretched cabriole legs, raised on small pad feet.
The whole has a fantastic patination, in what I would call, 'country house condition'.
