A fine 19th century Bureau de Dame, beautifully veneered in kingwood and walnut. This fine quality writing desk is mounted in ormolu. The lower section; the bureau is fabulously shaped, the fall front has a fully fitted interior and well. Original red Moroccan hide leather. The ash and tulipwood veneers inside the fall are so beautifully bright, along with the green staining simulating green tortoiseshell. The upper section has been lined in a cream fabric, the glazed cabinet doors encase a single fixed shelf.
