19th century jardinière by George Jones
Circa 1870
Marked on the underside in a double gourd shaped tablet GJ Stoke on Trent. This mark was only used until 1878. The article is in two sections. The deep cobalt blue exterior and the typical pink interior of George Jones Majolica ware.
The whole having white columns and ochre coloured bands.
The pineapple finials are later replacements, signs of friendship and hospitality.
