Made in Birmingham 1886 by Fredrick Elkington. A rare Victorian silver gilt silver bachelor's tea set. Engraved foliate decoration. Comprising of a small tea pot 19cm [7 ½ ins] wide by 11.5cm [4 ½] high, gilt lined cream jug 9.5cm [3 ¾ ins] wide by 6.2cm [2 ½ ins] high,8cm [3 ¼ ins] diameter, and a pair of sugar tongs 10.5cm[4 ¼ ins]All is finely engraved in the Japanese taste. Gross weight for the four articles approx. 18.02oz (511 grams)
