A rare pair of 'Armada' Mother of Pearl and gilt brass ships. This kind of work with mother-of-pearl is known as Palais Royal as the workshops and shops selling such items originate from this area in Paris during the 18th and 19th centuries. These beautiful pieces were made as luxury gifts often for sewing or desk accessories.

The detail on this pair is exquisite displaying the finest detail and quality including rigging, lifebuoy ring, a lifeboat, a cannon, even a compass.
