Free standing writing desk mounted throughout with gilt-metal decoration and retaining the original green tooled hide writing surface. Having three mahogany and cedar-wood lined drawers. The whole is raised on four turned fluted tapering legs on the original patented cup castors. This designed article is something one would expect to see in Osbourne House, Isle of Wight. Queen Victoria's favourite residence.
