19th century Cornish Serpentine marble doorstop

A good sized Victorian Cornish Serpentine marble doorstop with original brass ring handle. The colouring and natural figurations in the marble used is truly beautiful.

This material is to be found at the Lizards Peninsula in Cornwall and was championed by HM Queen Victoria for decorative art.
